Google gave Faeit his site back. The Rumors, news, old posts, old images, all of it. Back in action. He mentions in the video that he and the GW legal team are currently on good terms. Do you think that means they have backed down a bit? Hard to say, but it’s good to see him back in action. It seems the new site will be up sometime this week.

I am getting small bits of information regarding the Apocalypse Supplement release.

Apocalypse
Only the Imperial Guard and Orks are not getting an a new Apocalypse vehicle, but they could be getting new apoc aircraft. It seems so that all armies will have 1 apoc vehicle and 1 aircraft.

Forgeworld
We should be seeing a FW apoc book same month as GW apoc release covering all vehicles and aircraft from previous apoc books

New Apocalypse slated for July 2013
Rumored models are:

A large Imperial Walker, (smaller than a warhound titan)
Possible Chaos Variant (might have been mistaken for the Lord of Battles)
Missing plastic models known to be created but possibly held back for the Apocalypse release:
-Eldar Bomber
-Eldar “large hover tank”
-IG Hydra
-IG Medusa/Colossus
-Tyranid Harpy

Latest Rumors 6-2-2013

A Chaos Khorne Lord of Battles:
-A large chaos vehicle from EPIC with a large tracked body, and a giant mechanical torso of a warrior of khorne. One hand holds a colossal chain axe, the other is a large gatling barrelled weapon. A gigantic daemon engine on par with a scout titan.

A large flying Necron “Megalith”
-An oversized Monolith shaped vehicle on a flying stand that can “open up” into its four corners, with internal attachments to reveal a central spherical set of internal machinery.

So I just dropped $50 bucks on Codex: Eldar, and about to drop another $115 on the Wraithknight monstrosity.. the question now is- how bad do I want Codex: Iyanden?

Sort of really bad. I want to read it and own the book, I just don’t want to do a Iyanden army per say. I would contemplate running my Mymeara Eldar. We will see, it still doesn’t come out until June 15th.

The children of Asuryan are truly blessed, for today the iPad Edition of Codex: Iyanden goes on pre-order. As the first supplemental Codex for Warhammer 40,000, this is a very exciting time to be a hobbyist.

As mentioned in the video, Codex: Iyanden will be available in three formats – a lavish full-colour hardback book, an even more exotic limited edition version and the Digital Edition for iPad and iPad mini. All three feature new, never-before-seen artwork, full-colour miniatures galleries (including 360º images in the digital version) packed with dozens of miniatures painted in the colours of Craftworld Iyanden, a hefty 32 pages of background about the Craftworld and its people, a detailed timeline of important events, colour schemes and iconography for the different Ghost Warrior houses and much more besides. If you’re a hobbyist that loves to immerse yourself in the lore of Warhammer 40,000 then this book is definitely for you.

Codex: Iyanden also features a host of new rules which, when combined with the army list in Codex: Eldar, allow you to create a dedicated Iyanden-themed collection. Using the rules in Codex Iyanden allows you, for example, to take a Wraithknight as your Warlord. If that’s not a fearsome prospect for your opponents to face then I don’t know what is. There are also Iyanden-specific Warlord traits and the option to take a council of Spiritseers, plus three new battle missions and five scenarios to fight with your army. There are even stratagems for Cities of Death and Planetstrike for you to use on an unsuspecting enemy.

As explained in the video, the digital edition of Codex: Iyanden is available to pre-order now from the Apple iBookstore. The two hardback paper versions will be available to order from the Games Workshop website on 15th June, though there are only 500 copies of the Limited Edition version available, so you’ll have to order yours quickly if you want one.

 

So it looks like Apocalypse is getting a reboot next month. I would say, it would be hard for GW to continue this torrid pace of releases, but they keep chugging along.

So much of this release is still a mystery, we really have no idea what to expect, now all we can do is let the rumors swirl and hold on for dear life. That and admire this flying monolith thing.
