Remember when I said I was in love with the new bikes from FW? Well that pales in comparison to how freaking excited I am by these models. The MECHANICUM THALLAX COHORT and LEGION MKIII BREACHER SIEGE SQUAD.

The Thallaxii are heavily augmented cyborg shock-troops used by the Mechanicum Ordo Reductor, and they differ from the Skitarii regiments both in purpose and the unique degree of their augmetics. The Lorica Thallax was developed from power armour technology and requires a robust human specimen.

The Lorica encloses the major organs, nervous system and cerebrum, but entirely replaces the skeletal structure and limbs with armoured bionics powered by an internal reactor-core. Surgical excision of the subject’s pain sensors, emotions, and normal human sensory apparatus and the agony caused by the Lorica’s implantation, leaves the Thallax a cold, calculating killing machine (albeit one that retains a degree of independent thought).

Keep in mind these are still works in progress- but I am digging the conversion by Den of Imagination. On the down low, I am considering painting up some daemons and running them with my (red) Spaces Wolves as crazy-cool Wolf Brothers. This conversion really really makes me consider it even more.

MBG Rob Baer and BOLS are teaming up for a new podcast, the first episode was just released. It’s called Forge the Narrative if that wasn’t obvious from the bad-ass banner above.

We mostly focus on 40k, but again you will see in the first few episodes we take a severe deep dive into nerdom. These have been a blast to record and I hope they help pass the time for you.

Each episode will follow a similar format. Paul Murphy (TPM), me, is the host and I am joined by Mike Haspil as the co-host. At any point in time the co-host can be deemed too smart for their own good and then be shuffled onto the Black Ship and sacrificed to the god-emperor of mankind.

Good luck guys, right now 40k Radio and Infinity 0-12 are my main squeezes but Ill be sure to pick up the first one and give it a whirl.

Dan, the man with the facial hair of a god, is leaving MiniWargaming. Why? It’s unclear, but it seems to be in good spirits as you can probably tell from the video.

The cynic in me wants to say it might have something to do with the recent changes to the store or because of the changes Games Workshop has embargoed on the wargamming industry. I don’t believe that is the case though, sometimes people just need to move on. As much as I would like Dan to make videos and Orc WAAGHS for eternity, well that isn’t going to happen.

Bon voyage Dan. It was great while it lasted.
