So as of right now Faeit 212 is still down, unable to be accessed. In the video above Natfka doesn’t seem to be too worried but also seems a little in the dark.

It has been pointed out there GW has recently floated a few DMCA (Copyright) complaints towards popular blogs. Two noted blogs, Faeit 212 and Apocalypse 40k, both use a google blogging platform and both remain down. BOLS is also down, but I am not sure what platform they use.  It could be a coincidence, a technical error matched with really bad timing. OR, and more troubling, it might not be.

The most disheartening part of what is going on right now isn’t that these sites are down- though it is terrible- it’s that GW has taken this business stance. We saw it before with the vendors, with the IP of spacemarines, and now they go after any and ALL intellectual property covering the internet. I mean it just doesn’t make any sense. Why go after people who promote your product? What good can come from that? Less free marketing, whether granted or not, ultimately means less marketing. Which means less sales. Which means GW you fail.

IF these things are true and if GW really wants to go down this road, then they are really just hurting themselves. I will continue to cover this story.
